Subterranean Hydro Resources in Volcanic Oceanic Islands
Subterranean hydro resources in islands are one of the most important resources that are available in such insular environments. The aim of this research guideline is to make progress on the knowledge of insular volcanic aquifers i the Canary Islands.
The specific objectives to stand out of this research guideline are:
- To quantify and evaluate the origin of salination in the subterranean water of Canary Islands by means of the strontium isotopes systematic.
- To estimate the residence time of subterranean water using geochemical methods
- To develop a model of aquifers fluid flow and geochemistry.
